In these hard times, we sincerely thank all of you who chose to stay with us!

When the old wooden building of the theatre had burned down in 1890, the townsfolk of Minsk raised funds to build a new one. 2 rubles form a local house painter, 10 kopecks from a child's piggy bank: a lot of people wanted to speed the rebuilding of the theatre, to contribute a bit of themselves to it. We are well aware that the Kupała Theatre would have never become what it is without its spectators and admirers. We will do our best to keep it at the heart of the Belarusian culture, the place it proudly occupied during these hundred years.
