Cafe Austeria Uršula

Theatre cafe & bar

The Austeria Uršula is a neat cosy cafe with a warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and comfortable Viennese chairs. In times of the Great Duchy of Lithuania, austeria (after Italian osteria) was a big coaching inn, usually situated in the centre of a city or a town nearby its main square, and Uršula is for Franciška Uršula Radziwił, the founder of professional Belarusian theatre whose play was staged at our theatre.

The Austeria is located in the main building of the Janka Kupała Theatre in the very heart of Minsk. It is open from 11 am to 11 pm seven days a week. From 11 am to 4 pm you can enjoy business lunches. The cafe has also a summer terrace with a view of the Alexandraŭski public garden and the famous Minsk fountain to look at with a cup of coffee or a jug of good beer.

The Austeria is happy to treat the spectators before or after the performance. Its menu includes meals of European and famous Radziwił cuisine. It is a good place to hold banquets, corporate events, jubilees and other memorable meetings. It seats 70 people, and a standing buffet can host up to 300 people.

Please, mind that the entrance to the Austeria faces the Alexandraŭski garden.
